Upon the re-certification the surveyor from the „TÜV-Süd“ confirmed for all three locations Ramstein, Kundl and Munich a higher standard as last time - they received the IFS „higher level“ certification.
Having an excellent team we passed the survey again with a higher level - according Gerhard Leiser, quality manager of the Papp Logistics Group - this time with 97 from 100 possible points so that the audit interval has been prolonged from 12 up to 18 months.
In the range of food safety our key aspects of the IFS Logistic Standard are concentrated on the topics hygiene, risk-management, temperature control, cleanliness and re-traceability of products.

On 19th Feb. 2010 DACHSER FOOD LOGISTICS AND PAPP ITALIA have started their co-operation in the range of chilled food logistic from Germany to Italy and vice versa.
The 1997 founded Italian subsidiary of the long-established mother company Balth. Papp Munich is located at Pradelle de Nogarole Rocca (near Verona).
Papp is an designated Italian expert since 1906. More than 1000 consignees in Italy receive their goods regularly via the central hub at Nogarole Rocca.
Papp Italia is transporting the majority of consignments, only for some smaller lots Nogarole Rocca is using its wide spread local network of sub-contractors.
For both, Dachser and Papp it means a shorter transit time for the consignments to Italy and vice versa. With the first day of the co-operation the customers can use the internet for tracing their loads.
The reorganization of Dachser & Papp is attaching great importance to Italy as an commercial partner of Germany. According to the information from the federal statistic office Italy is the most important buyer of German foodstuff & beverages after The Netherlands and holds rank third as an import partner.
Upon signing of the contracts both companies emphasized to use their potential at the market in order of an continual improvement of the co-operation.

At the location in Munich the logistic provider Papp Logistics decided to work with the finance soft ware FIMOX K+H i.e. a transparent, modern management controlling. Only with transparent company data resources can be installed cost- and time efficient.

The Market Halls Munich changed the address - starting 1. Juli 2009 from the Thalkirchner Str. 81 into the Schäftlarnstraße 10 not only for the delivery of the goods but also for all companies resident at the „Großmarkt“.
The main entrance to the Market Halls is already at the Schäftlarnstraße 10, the official address however still read Thalkirchner Str. 81. Many truck drivers not familiar with the location of the Market Halls, driving with GPS and writing the official address (Thalkirchner Str. 81) have been directed wrong ending up in the residencial area close to the Market Halls. Due to the fact that some of the cheaper navigation systems do not show the height of the bridges the trucks cannot pass through with the result that they disturbe the residents.
The P.O. Box Address is not involved and remains the same.
The management of the market halls hope to achieve an improved delivery of goods and a relaxed situation.
Matthias Papp – director of Papp Logistic Munich - emphazises in an interview which he gave the “Fruchthandel” magazine that multi functional platforms close to the distribution warehouses of the LEH are the future. These Platforms are integrating all processes effective for the packing, package, quality control, survey of the products under laboratory conditions in order to reduce the non-acceptance and presence gap at the POS.
The European Regulations in respect of the food hygiene have to be adopted by our sub-contractor. The Papp Logistic Group has therefore established a comprehensive sub-contractor concept.
